THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, 1666 Not only is this a very early issue of the oldest continually published newspaper in the world (it started in 1665) but the bottom of the back page of this singlesheet issue has a brief account of the week's death toll from the Great Plague. The Great Plague was one of the world's great tragedies, with death tolls noted in several issues of this newspaper during that infamous year. The issue you get may have different numbers than shown here, but will be very similar. Octavo-size, nice condition.
