THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE from London England dated November, 1762. The front page of this issue has a nice wood engraving of St. John's Gate. The issue contains a nice, detailed, and tinted, engraving of the heart of George II, the late king of England who recently died. As the magazine describes it as: "...an anatomical representation of the Heart of his late Majesty, as it appeared upon opening his Body, in the presence of his Majesty's Physicians, elegantly engraved on Copper-Plate..." .Also, this issue contains Dr. Nicholl's account of the circumstances attending the death of his late majesty with another wonderfully detailed description of the circumstances of the king's death, and the autopsy. There is also a full page engraving of The Duke of Albemarle and a letter to M. Rousseau, author of a new System of Education. Also a view of the West Indian and North American Trades; some account of the late Richard Nash, and much more. You get the complete 40+ page magazine which is in very nice, clean condition, measuring about 5 by 8 inches. The issue was sewn in to a volume and has binding holes down the left spine, but they are well into the margin.
