THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE from London dated September, 1755. Within this issue is an article headed: "A Scheme Proposed for Driving the French out of the Continent of America in one Year's Time" which has interesting reading and includes a great deal of content on the plans for the French & Indian War with mentions of Crown Point, Albany, Lake Champlain Montreal, and so much more. Plus another report which references the capture of Fort Duquesne near Pittsburgh, and mention of Braddock as well (see photos). There is another lengthy report headed: "Account of the British Settlements in Pennsylvania". You get the complete 40+ page issue measuring about 5 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, and which still has the full title/index page with the engraving of St. John's Gate. Very nice condition.
