July 24, 1934

THE SPRINGFIELD UNION, Massachusetts, July 24, 1934 The front page has a very nice photograph showing the now-famous Biograph theatre where John Dillinger was shot, with the photo headed: "Where Dillinger Was Killed by U.S. Agents" just 2 days ago. There is also a related article with nice 3 column heads: "Girl Who Led Police To Dillinger Is Said To Be Heavily Guarded" with various subheads (see photos) with the text actually mentioning the words "girl in red". The ftpg. also includes a photo of Melvin Purvis. You get the complete 20 page issue which is in very nice condition save for a few minor margin tears..
