September 28, 1747
THE GENERAL ADVERTISER, London, Sept. 28, 1747 Page 2 of this four page, folio-size newspaper contains a report reading in part: "On Saturday last one Hosea Youell, a Jew, being chard'd with the robbery & stabbing Capt. Joseph John, in Cavendish Court near Devonshire Square, went & surender'd himself to the Keeper of the Poultry Compter..." with further particulars. An early Judaica item and nice to have mention of his name (see photo for the complete report). Very nice & full red-inked tax stamp on the front page.
