Here is a complete bound volume of THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE from London for the months of January thru June, 1790. This is a great volume for several reasons: first, the May issue contains a very fine & detailed account of the mutiny on the ship Bounty, one of the better reports we have ever offered; secondly, the February issue contains a very nice full page plate captioned: "View Of Bunker's Hill" (see photo); and thirdly, the March issue contains a very nice foldout map titled: "A Map shewing the Communication of the Lakes and the Rivers between Lake Superior and Slave Lake in North America" which shows from Hudson's Bay to the North Sea to Slave Lake to the North Pacific Ocean, and including Queen Charlotte's Isle, the headwaters of the Mississippi, Cook's River, Nootka Sound, and much more (see photos). All of this is in addition to the great wealth of material found within these 570+ pages which include much on news of the day, political coverage, essays, religion, literary items, and so much more including an additional 16 full page plates (one of which is actually a foldout).  Bound in three-quarter leather with some wear at the spine and gold inking at the spine as well. The pages within are in very nice, clean condition. A great opportunity for a volume with some great content and prints.
