Here is a collection of ten full page prints taken from "Frank Leslie's Illustrated History of the Civil War" which carries several subtitles, including: "View of the Town of Paducah, KY., at the Confluence of the Rivers Ohio and Tennessee, the Northern Terminus of the Mobile and Oho Railroad", ""Landing of Federal Troops at Parkersburg, Western Virginia", "Rebuilding the Railroad Bridge over the Rapphannock to Fredericksburg, Burnt by the Confederates in their Retreat from Falmouth, April 19th, 1862", "Burnside Expedition - the Fleet and Transports off Hatteras during the Storm - the General giving Orders", "Negro Drivers of the Baggage Train attached to General Pleasonton's Cavalry Brigade Watering their Mules in the Rappahannock", "Landing of Captain Baily and Lieutenant Perkins on the Levee, New Orleans, with a Flag of Truce, to Demand the Surrender of the City to the Federal Government", "Battle of Pittsburg Landing - Engagement on the Left Wing, General Hurlbut's Division, April 6th, 1862 - Charge and Repulse of the Confederates at the Peach Orchard",  "Refugees from Southern Missouri, Driven from their Homesteads by the Confederates, Encamped near Genearl Sigel's Division at Rolla", "Reception by the People of New York of the Sixty-Ninth Regiment, N. Y. S. M., on their Return from the Seat of War, Escorted by the New York Seventh Regiment", "Arrival and Departure of Federal Troops, on their way to Washington, at the Union Volunteer Refreshment Saloon, Philadelphia, PA" and more.

This was a publication produced in 1895 dedicated: "To the brave soldiers who fought the battles herein pictured..."  and further noting that: "This work will be a supplement to every written history, portraying as it does the striking incidents of battle, and giviing the likenesses of the leaders whose names were on every lip in the days of strife. Here the veterans will find the past recalled & here the young may gain inspiration to emulate their patriotism and devotion.".

Each full page print measures about 11 by 16 inches and is printed upon newsprint which is of higher quality than the pulpish paper used by the daily newspapers of that era. Still quite white and not the least bit fragile.
