THE LONDON INTELLIGENCE, Feb. 9, 1688/9  The back page has a brief albeit very historic report from London dated February 5, stating that: "Yesterday, the Lords and Commons Unanimously Agreed to Proclaim the Prince, and Princess of Orange, King, and Queen of England, and to Present the Crown with some Preliminaries to His highness, to Accept thereof Himself, and also for his Royal consort the Princess; To the great Joy and Satisfaction of all True Protestants."
Prior to this report is a related item that says: "Admiral Herbert was Arrived at the Bril, with some men of War, and 4 Yachts, and that the first instant he came to the Hague, and delivered Letters from the Prince to the Princess of Orange, whereby tis said, Her Royal Highness is desired to be in a readiness to come for England; And that she intends to Embark as soon as the Wind is Favourable."
Great to have this notable content is this very rare title that lasted for just ten issues, and is held by only one institution in the United States! A singlesheet, measures about 12 by 7 1/2 inches, in very good, untrimmed condition.
