The reverse has a report from Virginia stating that the inhabitants of Monongahela County applied to the courts to erect a monument in front of the court house in memory of George Washington. Includes the text of the inscription. Folio-size single sheet with the masthead on the reverse. Archival mends to a few minor edge tears, otherwise in good condition.
