A very early issue of this newspaper, the first newspaper in Utah, which began in 1850. This issue is printed on "necessity paper", which is heavier in stock than usual and has a grayish tone.

Three-quarters of the front page is a portion of the continued: "History Of Joseph Smith".

Also on the front page: "Discourse By President J.M. Grant, Tabernacle".

Pages 2 & 3 have reports headed: "Faithfulness in Little Things" "Life In Palestine" "Revolvers" "Reverie of the Church Sexton" "Fashionable Religion" "Saints & the World" "The Swiss Mission" "Litigation" and more.

Pages 3 & 4 also have various ads.

Never bound nor trimmed, some browning at folds & a bit irregular at the top margin, otherwise nice condition, 4 pages
