HARRISBURG TELEGRAPH, Pennsylvania, April 4, 1882.

* Great Jesse James death report
* Rare front page headlines

The top of the first column of the front page is taken up with a nice report headed:

* THE END OF AN OUTLAW
* Jess James, The Notorious Desperado, Dead
* Shot Down by a Member of His Gang, Said to be a Detective in Disguise--Great Excitement Over the Affair--The Detective Receives the Protection of the Authorities--etc

The report, with a St. Joseph, Mo. dateline of April 4, begins:

* Jesse James, the noted train robber and outlaw, was shot and killed here yesterday. Great excitement prevails. The particulars of the affair are as follows...

with the full text seen in the photos below and taking just under half a column.

Complete in 4 pages, a few very minor margin tears, very nice, clean condition.

Nice to have this report on the front page and with several headlines--rare as such.
