THE NEW YORK TIMES, dated July 18, 1950.  The sports section contains coverage of Whitey Ford's first Major League win: banner head on pg. 24: "Yankees Check White Sox at Stadium on Berra's Two run Double in Seventh", with a photo.  Wonderful to have this report in a New York paper.  The issue is complete, and is in good condition (see photos), although it is semi-loose at the left spine.
