THE LIBERATOR, Boston, Massachusetts, April 30, 1831 Here is a volume one issue (number 18) of this famous title published by the noted abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison. The nice masthead has an engraving of a slave auction. An early and desirable issue of this famous title.

A lengthy article on the front page is of "Walker's Appeal. No. 1" & other content within includes: "The Crusade" "Slavery Record--Instances of Cruelty" "Meeting in Great Britain for the Total Abolition of Slavery in the British Colonies" and more.

Measures 11 by 15 1/2 inches, even browning with scattered foxing, minor edge wear.
