HARPER'S BAZAR, New York, NY, September 5, 1868
* Winslow Homer print
Very famous fashion magazine subtitled: "A Repository of Fashion, Pleasure, and Instruction" from the successful publishing house of Harper Brothers. It is the oldest continuously published fashion magazine in the world *(now spelled "Bazaar") which began in 1867 as a weekly illustrated journal desirable today for the many fashion prints from the Victorian era.
But the prime items in this issue are the rarely seen Winslow Homer prints: ""What She Sees There" and "Disposition of the Bodies..." which is part of the "Blue Beard Tableau" article (see). These prints are in great condition. Mild margin wear to the balance of the issue, never bound.
