December 13, 1898

SEMI-WEEKLY GAZETTE & BULLETIN, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, December 13, 1898

* Spanish-American War ends
* Peace treaty signed in Paris

Page 4 has column heads at the top: "PEACE TREATY IS SIGNED" "Negotiations at Paris Concluded at Last" "A Scene For A Painter" "Signatures Attached to the Great Document" "Spaniards Are Much Cast Down" and further subheads (see). This was the historic treaty which ended the Spanish-American War.

A significant issue for a collection of American war reports. Complete in 8 pages, bit close-trimmed at the bottom half of the right margin not affecting the noted content, lightly browned, irregular at the spine. Should be handled with care.
