The front page has many one column headlines with considerable text on the first major battle of the Civil War, heads including: "THE NEWS" "Important News form the Seat of War in Virginia" "The Battle of Bull's Run" "A Brisk Ambuscade Fight with Concealed Foes" "Extravagant Rebel Report of the Battle" "Reconnoissance of the Enemy's Position Yesterday" "Preparations for a Grand Attack at Manassas Junction" and more (see). There are over 4 columns of front page text on Bull Run carrying over some to the back page as well.
More war reports on the inside pages as well. Complete in 8 pages, some printing creases on the front page distract some but cause no loss of readability (see), and a hole near the lower spine affects no mentioned text, otherwise nice.
