THE BETHLEHEM GLOBE-TIMES, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, August 17, 1948 The top of the ftpg. has a two line, two column head: "Babe Ruth Dies At 53, Idol Of Baseball Fans" with a subhead: "Famed Yankee Home Run King Succumbs To Cancer After Two-Year Illness" plus a nice one column photo of "Babe Ruth" (see). Page 17 has a cartoon-style story of his life, part 1 of a five part series (see).
The complete 24 page issue in very nice, clean condition, some old tape stains to page 17.
