THE CALL, San Francisco, California, November 4, 1910 The frontpage of this issue carries a banner headline "MIGHTY APPLAUSE PORTENDS VICTORY FOR JOHNSON" with sub "Intrepid Standard Bearer Makes Scathing Reply to His Detractors" which includes a large photo from the gathering of approximately 7,000 people at a rally for his run for governor of California which had become quite heated. Other front page articles include "Alaska Land Grabbers Indicted - Former Seattle Mayor and Five Capitalists Accused of Attempted Fraud" "Southern Pacific Station Dynamited" "Mrs. McKim Shopping. Is It For Trousseau?" - pertaining to a possible marriage to a Vanderbilt. "Man Laughs for twelve Hours When a Mule is Traded as a Horse". Other articles, sports and advertisements are within.
This is complete in 18 pages, evenly browned with five binding holes in the left spine, otherwise is in good condition.
