Other articles on the front page include "Mississippi River at Keokuk, Iowa, Harnessed with $25,000,000 Dam" which includes a photo of the power plant; "New San Diego Sea Wall Will Increase Harbor's Capacity to 43 Big Ships" and "Biplane of New Type Produced in Bristol, England". An article within the issue is "Chicago Land Sold For $1000 Is Valued at Twenty Million" with subhead "So-Called District of Lake Michigan, Claimed by Captain Streeter, Disposed of at Public Auction - Has Queer History".
