March 15, 1932
THE DETROIT FREE PRESS, Michigan, March 15, 1932 This 20 page newspaper has a fantastic banner headline on the front page that reads: "EASTMAN COMMITS SUICIDE", with subheads that include: "KODAK GENIUS FAMED FOR HIS PHILANTHROPY" and more, with a nice photo of Eastman (see images). Lengthy text continues on page 2.
The coverage tells of the suicide death of the inventor of the Kodak camera, George Eastman. This is by far the best issue I have seen on this event, probably can't get any better than this for displayability. The headline says it all. A perfect issue for the Kodak collector.
Other news of the day throughout. Light browning with minor margin wear, otherwise good.
