Within the issue are: "Christmas Morning"; a poem "Little Effie to Santa Claus" with an accompanying photo; doublepage centerfold "The Blackville Gallery - No. 1 - Rehearsal of the Blackville Choir 'Grandpap, Gib Us De Base!'"; an article "Can a Gentleman be a Prize-fighter?" which is about boxer Kid McCoy; "A Famous Old Slave Market" which was located in Louisville, Georgia; and additional stories, illustrations and advertisements including a colorized Ivory soap ad.
