Page 2 has: "From San Francisco" which has reports concerning the Gold Rush and the high prices of commodities (see), including: "...Matters appear to go on very quietly both in the towns & the diggins...The accounts from the diggins are cheering. The waters of the Sacramento & San Joaquin were steadily falling...about 15,000 foreigners & Americans were scratching gravel in the dry diggins..." with more.

Page 3 has: "Discouraging News from a Massachusetts Company (see photos), and "Overland Californians" and "California Items" (see photos).
