April 12, 1970

THE NEW YORK TIMES, a set of seven consecutive issues dating from April 12 through April 18, 1970, each with front page heads on the Apollo 13 mission. The issue of April 12 has: "Astronauts Off On 3d Moon trip; Land Wednesday", with the most significant issue likely being the 15th with a banner head: "Crew Of Crippled Apollo 13 Start Back After Rounding Moon And Firing Rocket; Men Appear Calm Despite Low Reserves" with photos and a graphic of their journey (see); the 17th has: "Stricken Apollo Speeding Toward Earth For Pacific Splashdown This Afternoon", and the 18th has: "Astronauts Land Gently On Target, Unharmed By Their Four-Day Ordeal".
Each issue is complete and in nice condition with some expected minor foxing or minor margin wear. A fine opportunity for complete coverage of the crippled Apollo 13 mission, from take-off to splashdown.
