THE LOUISVILLE DAILY JOURNAL, Kentucky, a lot of four issues dating Aug. 7, 8, 9 and Oct. 3, 1860. A four page, large size newspaper from the less than a year before the Civil War. The back page of each issue features a quite large ad headed: "Plantations and Negroes and City Property For Sale..." with various details (see).
Each issue has damage at the right margin with various chipping, tears and some loss. Cleanly cut at the spine.
