THE PHILADEPHIA INQUIRER, Feb. 23, 1862  The front page features a very nice map captioned: "Nashville--Its Railroad and Other Communications" which shows the streets of Nashville and some of the town of Edgefield across the Cumberland River (see). The front page also has nice first column heads including: "THE LATEST WAR NEWS!" "Capture of Nashville Confirmed" "Gen. Price Driven from His Stronghold" "A White Flag Waving Over Memphis" "How Winton Was Burned" "Important War Bulletin" "Buckner & Staff at Indianapolis" & other front page heads: "War in Kentucky & Tennessee" "Capture of Nashville Again Confirmed" "The War in Arkansas" and more.
Eight pages, nice condition.
