THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR, Boston, Aug. 19, 1920 Most of the last column on the front page is taken up with a notable report headed: "Ratification Of Federal Suffrage Amendment Won" "Tennessee House Concurs In Action of Senate Approving Law; State Complete Quota Needed for Equal Franchise". The article reports the formal ratification of the 19th Amendment, allowing women the right to vote, when Tennessee became the last required state to ratify thus making the amendment the law of the land. A very significant event in the women's suffrage movement.
