THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Mar. 8, 1862  The prime feature of the front page is the very large map headed: "Map Of The Seat Of War In Virginia From Martinsburg To Fredericksburg" showing many of the towns in between including Washington, D.C., Harper's Ferry, Winchester, and much more (see).
The front page has some one column headlines including: "The War For the Union!" "Gen. Pillow Still Invincible" "The War in Missouri" "Rebels at New Madrid Invested by the U.S. Forces" "The War In Arkansas" "A Balloon Ascension at Night" & more.
Plus page 8 has a nice graphic as well with a print & biography of: "Brigadier-General F. W. Lander".
Eight pages, nice condition.
