July 28, 1953
PACIFIC STARS & STRIPES, "Korea Edition", July 28, 1953 Perhaps the very best title to have concerning the end of the Korean War, with a very large & bold: "TRUCE SIGNED" above the masthead taking one-third of the front page. The banner head beneath the masthead notes: "Korea Fighting Ends" with the dispatch from Panmunjom with the official announcement, and a photo of the "Solemn Signing". Being the "Korea Edition" there would be few newspapers better positioned to report this historic event, and great to have in the: "Unofficial Publication of United States Forces, Far East" as noted in the masthead.
Complete in 16 pages and quite worn as the photo shows, with various staining, margin wear, mostly loose at the spine
