March 09, 1861

NEW HAMPSHIRE JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE, Manchester, March 9, 1861

* President Abraham Lincoln
* Inauguration - inaugural address

Over one-third of page 3 is taken up with the full, lengthy text of Abraham Lincoln's first inaugural address. It is headed: "Inaugural of President Lincoln" and is prefaced with: "The inauguration of Abraham Lincoln took place on Monday. The day was fine. No opposition was made to the ceremonies. His address upon the occasion was as follows:..." and what follows is the full text of his inaugural address (see for beginning & end).
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, clear archival mends near the center & at the spine from paper weakness, with minimal loss of text and not close to the Lincoln content, otherwise very nice.
