June 08, 1937

LOS ANGELES TIMES, California, June 8, 1937  Large banner headline announces: "Strictest Privacy Ordered In Funeral Of Jean Harlow" with a large photo of her headed: "Glamorous Star as She Appeared in Recent Film". Another head: "Death Shock Stuns Mother" with more. Much more on her on page 2. Great to have this report on a Los Angeles newspaper as that is where she died.
Also of interest on the front page is: "South Atlantic Flown By Amelia Earhart". This was her last and ill-fated trip as she would go missing on July 2 as part of this excursion.
The complete sections 1 & 2 with 18 pages (of 38). Minor browning at the central fold, generally nice condition.
