The large & bold banner headline is one of the most dramatic to be found on the death of noted songwriter George Gershwin: "GERSHWIN DIES ! " with a subhead: "Tumor of Brain Kills Composer" "Fails to Recover Consciousness After Hollywood Operation". There is also a nice front page photo of him (see). The ftpg. also has a one column report concerning the search for the missing Amelia Earhart (see).
Present are the outer leaves only with pages 1, 2, 9 & 10. Nice condition & terrific for display given this dramatic headline.
