SACRAMENTO DAILY UNION, California, April 14, 1865 The front page has a detailed report headed: "The Execution of Sue Mundy--An Interview with the Prisoner". Marcellus Jerome Clark, alias "Sue Mundy", was a Confederate captain & one of Kentucky's most famous guerrillas during the Civil War. See the hyperlink for much more on him.
A few other war-related items from near the end of the war. This was the day that that Abraham Lincoln was shot. Four pages, very nice condition.
