March 12, 1862

NEW YORK TIMES, March 12, 1862  The front page features a quite large Civil War map headed: "THE LINE OF THE POTOMAC FROM WASHINGTON TO ITS MOUTH--Showing Manassas, Fredericksburgh, and the Line of the Rappahannock & their Relations to Richmond." The balance of the ftpg. is taken up with related war reports including one column heads such as: "Manassas Evacuated" "The Rebel Stronghold Occupied by the Union Forces" "Jackson's Force Deserted at Winchester" "Battle Of Pea Ridge" "Ben McCulloch Killed" "Brilliant Manoeuvres by the Union Army" and more.
The back page includes a small report on "The Ericsson Battery" which is concerning the iron-clad Monitor of Monitor vs. Merrimac fame.
Eight pages very nice condition.
