On the front page in the first column is the headline "Kennedy Asserts Nation Must Lead In Probing Space" with suheads "Declares U.S. Cannot Afford to lag if It Wants to Give leadership to West" "40,000 Cheer in Texas" "President Ends 2-Day Tour of Bases -- Puts Stress on Peaceful Projects". This then continues inside on page 16. It includes a photo with JFK at Houston Space Center -- he is speaking, standing next to a model the "bug" that is being prepared for a lunar landing. Also on page 16 is the "Transcript of Kennedy Remarks on Space Challenge" which includes the famous quote: "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard" (see)
