Beginning page 2 is: "The Treaty of Peace" being a prefacing note that the Treaty had been recevied, followed cby an announcement by: "James Madison, President of the United States of America" announcing that the treaty of peace had been ratified by Senate.
Hereafter is the text of the "Treaty Of Peace and Amity" between England and the United States, containing eleven articles, signed in type by President James Madison and the Acting Secretary of State, James Monroe (see) The text of the treaty concludes with a statement by the President asking all citizens to honor and respect the terms of the treaty. A very significant report and a key issue for any collection focused on American wars.
Page 2 also has an editorial concerning the Treaty (see for beginning).
Four pages, a very small hole in both leaves does not affect mentioned text, various foxing & damp staining.
