October 13, 1974

NEW YORK TIMES, Oct. 13, 1974

* Oskar Schindler death (1st report)
* Jewish Holocaust hero - Nazi concentration camps
* "Schindler's List" book & movie fame

An inside page of the first section has an almost inconspicuous report, one column wide, of a very significant person, headed: "Oskar Schindler, Saved 1,2000 Jews" "German Intelligence Agent Dies--Cited by Israel" with a photo of him as well. The article explains how he saved the Jews during World War II, as also told in the famous 1993 Stephen Spielberg movie "Schindler's List", which brought much prominence and fame to Schindler some 19 years after his death.
This is the complete first section with 92 pages. Browning at the front page central fold with a few very small holes here, otherwise in very nice condition.
