To anyone who grew up on the 1960's the death of Beatle John Lennon was a tragic event and the end of an era. Reports of his death are desired by collectors of many interests and are more rare than assassination reports of J.F.K.
This issue has a nice front page headline: "SINGER JOHN LENNON SLAIN BY NY GUNMAN" with subhead: "Police Describe Killer as 'Cuckoo'" and photo. Nice for display.
Incomplete issue containing only 8 pages of a 96 page newspaper but I believe all text concerning this event was saved, nice for display as such.
