THE BALANCE & COLUMBIAN REPOSITORY, Hudson, New York, June 19, 1804 Page 23 has a brief report which I'm not sure why it was considered news-worthy: "Monticello -- Yesterday morning the President arose precisely fifty-nine minutes past four, and put on a clean shirt and breeches."
