October 15, 1964

NEW YORK TIMES, Oct. 15, 1964  The top of the front page has a photo of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. headed with: "Martin Luther King Wins The Nobel Prize for Peace" plus a related caption under the photo (see). The article begins: "The Nobel Peace Prize for 1964 was awarded today to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The 35 year-old civil rights leader is the youngest winner of the prize..." with more, the article carrying over to pg. 14 where also are two additional articles headed: "Man With a Dream, Martin Luther King, Jr." with a photos of him; plus: "Cheers And Scorn For Nobel Award" "Rights Leaders Delighted--Perez Blames 'Reds' "
The complete 80 page issue, however a 1 3/4 by 4 1/2 in. piece is clipped from the bottom of the ftpg., and another smaller piece clipped from the sports page (pg. 43-4), neither remotely close to the MLK articles. Otherwise in nice condition.
