THE NEW YORK TIMES, April 15, 1918

* USS Cyclops (AC-4) mystery sinking
* United States Navy collier
* Famous Bermuda Triangle victim

The front page has a banner headline: "U. S. NAVAL COLLIER CYCLOPS MISSING; MAY BE RAIDER VICTIM" with subheads. (see) Lengthy coverage continues on page 4 with a list of the passengers. This ship became one of the more famous Bermuda Triangle mysteries which still hasn't been solved to this day. The loss was put at 306 crew and passengers. The ship was actually lost about a month earlier but this is when it was first made public.
Other news of the day. Twenty-two pages, a little margin wear with minimal unrelated text loss, generally good.
