CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, May 25, 1934  During my 43 years in this hobby I have only occasionally been able to find the famous poem by Bonnie Parker printed in a newspaper. A few times, though rare, I found bits and pieces of the poem, usually the ending only.
But here is the poem in its entirety, found at the top of page 21 with heads: "BONNIE'S POEM FORETELLS END AT LAW'S HANDS" "But Part of Dream Will Prove Untrue" with related text beginning: "The poetic prophecy of Bonnie Parker, the cigar smoking, quick triggered gun moll of Clyde Barrow..." and more. Then a subhead: "See Death in Poem" with the poem beginning: "You have read the story of Jesse James; Of how he lived and died; If you still are in the need of something to read, Here is the story of Bonnie and Clyde..." and much more. The poem ends with: "...Some day they will go down together; And they will bury them side by side; To a few it means grief, To the law it's relief; But it is death to Bonnie & Clyde."
More text concerning Bonnie & Clyde follows (see photos).
Complete in 42 pages, this is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. In great condition as such, 4 small binding holes at the blank spine.
