NEW YORK TRIBUNE, July 15, 1916 The front page carries a two column, two line headline "Body of Shark's Victim Found Near Matawan" with subhead "Volunteer Watcher and Fisherman Draw Badly Mangled Form from Creek -- Dynamiters Continue Work in Hope of Killing Man-Eating Fish." The article continues on page three and includes a photo of the shark. This is pertaining to the numerous shark attacks which were occurring in along the New Jersey shoreline during the summer of 1916.
