* Nat Turner, leader of the slave insurrection, is hanged
Within this issue is a brief & rather inconspicuous item reading: "The famous Nat Turner was taken in Southampton county on the 30th ult. His place if concealment was in a cave, not many miles from the theatre of his bloody exploits. He has been tried, found guilty and hung, and his body given to the surgeons."

Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
