First-Hand Reports of the American Revolution

What is now American history was once the day's news — dispatches from the war for independence, 1770 to 1783.

These authentic Revolutionary War newspapers carry daily, unfiltered reports of those who built a nation — from the political brilliance of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, to the legendary battlefield figures like John Paul Jones and the infamous traitor Benedict Arnold. They capture the entire arc of the struggle, tracking the early, pre-war colonial protests that sparked the rebellion all the way to final victory.

Step back in time with raw, first-hand battle accounts from Lexington & Concord, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, and the harsh winter at Valley Forge. Because they were printed on durable rag linen paper, these issues have survived more than two centuries in remarkably well-preserved condition. They remain surprisingly affordable artifacts of freedom, and every single issue is a guaranteed original — never a reprint.
