NEW-YORK HERALD, Feb. 11, 1807 Pg. 3 has: "Imperial Decree, Declaring
the British Isles in a state of Blockade". Signed in type: Napoleon.
Bkpg. notice: "Sale Of Mortgaged Estate" placed by James C. Roosevelt.
The time period and name suggest that this was probably the
great-grandfather of FDR. Spine is a bit irregular, rubbing and an ink
spot of the ftpg.
