This is a 10 issue set, comprised of the following titles and dates... three issues of The Christian Science Monitor (Boston) dated April 18, 20 and 24, 1942; one issue of The Boston Sunday Post dated April 19, 1942; and six issues of The Boston Herald dated April 19, 21, 22, 23 and 24, 1942... and is of the first air raids by the United States to strike the Japanese home island. The raid was planned and led by Lieutenant Col. James "Jimmy" Doolittle which became known as the "Doolittle Raids". The issues contain articles, photos and maps of this important turn of events in World War II.
