THE NEW YORK TIMES, July 7, 1962 * Mickey Mantle hits 4 home runs in a row
* New York Yankees... MLB baseball
This 44 page newspaper has a three column headline on page 11: "Yanks Top Twins, 7-5" with subheads that include: "MARIS AND MANTLE HIT 2 HOMERS EACH" and more with box scores. (see)
This was when Mickey Mantle achieved hitting four home runs in a row (2 games), tying the MLB record for doing so. See photos for text mentioning this.
Other news of the day. Unfortunately this issue is damaged with the 1st couple of leafs severely cut up for some unknown reason. Also some other cutouts inside but the page with the Mantle report is untouched and fine.
The best title to have this report in, being from NYC. Too bad for the condition. Sold as is.
