A group of five issues of THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER from the Reconstruction era shortly after the end of the Civil War. Dates are June 16, 30, July 20, Aug. 1 and Sept. 19, 1865. Each issue is complete in 8 pages and is in nice condition. A fine lot of issues providing a perspective of life in America as it struggled to content with the issues at the conclusion of the Civil War.
