May 25, 1861
MOORE'S RURAL NEW-YORKER, Rochester, NY, May 25, 1861  In addition to the front page print, "Equestrianism for Ladies - Correct and Incorrect Positions", are several inside Civil War related reports and an illustrated ad for "Flags! Flags! Flags!" (see images).  One headed, "Harper's Ferry", provides details regarding its past (John Brown raid), its present importance, and its likely importance to the war efforts in the future (see images for details).  Additional reports include, "An Interview with General Scott", "Strength and Importance of Fortress Monroe", "Perryville... Turkey Point", and more.

Other topics, mostly agriculture/horticulture related, throughout. Eight pages, a little foxing and slight damp-staining (minor), otherwise very nice.
