COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, Massachusetts, September 7, 1825  Page two contains "Genera Lafayette" and that numerous arrangements were being made in Washington for his visit. The previous day was his birthday and he had dined with The President. Another article on General Lafayette includes other activities including visiting Mount Vernon.  Also on this page is an article "National Register" from Tennessee on the "Representatives to 19th Congress" which includes the names of Samuel Houston and James K. Polk.  The front page features a headline "Literary Miscellany" with "Collegiate Records" announcing the commencement of Hamilton College, which includes Gerrit Smith as one of the members of the graduating class. Other news and advertisements, including a Church Pew for sale or let, is within the issue.

This is complete in four pages measuring approximately 20.75 x 15 inches, scattered foxing, stray handwriting above the masthead, otherwise in good condition.
